No Bad Blood, Taylor Swift Spotted Cheering For Olivia Rodrigo At Grammys 2024
Although Taylor And Olivia were not photographed at the Grammys, the Bad Blood singer showed her support for Rodrigo during her performance.

The 66th Grammy Awards, hosted on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, witnessed an unexpected turn of events as Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo decided to put an end to their rumoured feud. The rumours about their dispute originated in June 2023 when Rodrigo released Vampire and speculated that the song was about Taylor. However, until the Grammys, neither artist addressed the alleged clash.

Although the two artists were not photographed together, Swift showed her support for the young artist during the latter’s performance of Vampire, by standing, dancing and singing along. In a surprising turn, the Love Story singer even gave a standing ovation to Rodrigo after the performance ended. Interestingly, Rodrigo also stood and applauded when Swift won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

For the music’s biggest night, organizers went the extra mile to prevent a face-off between Taylor and Rodrigo at the venue. Ahead of the Grammys, rumours of an ongoing feud between the two artists resurfaced, prompting insiders to reveal that organizers, in an attempt to avoid any awkwardness, were making extra efforts to carefully plan seating arrangements. The insider stated, “They’re both huge stars, so they’ll both be in the front row, but I can’t see them being too close together.”

For those unaware, the conflict between Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo initially began when Taylor and Jack Antonoff were credited on Olivia’s songs ‘1 step forward, 3 steps back and deja vu’, inspired by Taylor’s tracks New Year’s Day and Cruel Summer. The tension escalated with the release of Olivia’s song Vampire, featuring lyrics that sparked speculation about being directed towards Taylor. When asked about it, Olivia neither confirmed nor denied it but stated that she didn’t have beef with anyone. The feud rumours continued to circulate online until the surprising turn of events at the Grammys, which suggests that the relationship between Taylor and Olivia might have taken a positive turn.

At the 2024 Grammys, Taylor and Olivia both stood out with six Grammy nominations each. Swift’s nods included Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2022 release Midnights, Best Pop Solo Performance, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for her 2023 single Anti Hero, along with a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song Karma featuring Ice Spice. On the other hand, Rodrigo also earned six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2023 offering Guts, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her 2023 single Vampire and a nomination for Best Rock Song for Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl.
