'No One Has The Right To Point Fingers At Him': When Prakash Kaur Defended Her Ex-Husband Dharmendra
In an old interview, Prakash Kaur not only spoke about the relationship between Dharmendra and Hema Malini but also came out in support of her ex-husband.

Veteran actor Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, has maintained a low profile, staying away from the glamour world of Bollywood. On rare occasions when she emerges in public, she refrains from engaging with the media. However, there was a rare instance where she openly discussed Dharmendra’s second marriage to Bollywood actress Hema Malini.

In an old interview, Prakash Kaur not only spoke about the relationship between Dharmendra and Hema Malini but also came out in support of her ex-husband against those labelled Dharmendra as a womaniser.

In the interview, Prakash Kaur staunchly supported the iconic actor. Describing Dharmendra as an exemplary husband and father, she emphasised that she had no complaints against him.

Prakash Kaur asserted that the critics of Dharmendra lack the right to criticise him and shouldn’t point fingers at the well-known actor. She expressed that Hema Malini’s appeal is undeniable and if Dharmendra chose her, he shouldn’t be blamed. Prakash Kaur also said that Dharmendra’s unwavering loyalty to his family demonstrated his responsible and dutiful nature.

Indeed, Prakash Kaur expressed her objection to Hema Malini’s decision during that time, stating that marrying Dharmendra was a challenging choice for Hema Malini. She highlighted the difficulties the actress faced, including disapproval from Dharmendra’s family and relatives. Reflecting on her perspective, Prakash Kaur asserted that if she were in Hema’s position, she wouldn’t have chosen to marry a married man. She explained the importance of considering the well-being of the family and children before making such a decision.

On the professional front, Dharmendra recently appeared alongside Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar’s romantic drama, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The 88-year-old actor is set to feature in the upcoming romantic comedy, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 9.
