Niall Horan, one of the former members of the legendary boyband One Direction, was recently on his The Show tour. While this was his first headlining tour in six years, the Irish singer did not hold back and treated his fans to seventy-six tour dates, covering various countries, including his native Ireland.
He started touring in late February this year and ended it earlier this month with his last show in Bogota, Colombia. While the end of a tour is always a sad moment for fans, Horan added to the emotion by officially announcing his hiatus at his final show.
The former One Direction star addressed everyone in the arena, announcing, “This stands from tomorrow onwards; you will never find me. I’m gonna be hungover as f*** tomorrow! And I’m gonna disappear for a while.”
The announcement quickly made its way to social media, sparking speculation that the singer was officially retiring. However, Niall clarified that he has no such plans, explaining that he isn’t going anywhere for too long and will return with a new album for his beloved fans.
Furthermore, the singer-songwriter took to his Instagram on the final night of his world tour, expressing his gratitude. He wrote, “Night Eighty-Seven Bogotá. The last night of The Show Live on Tour. The past 8 months have just been incredible. I’ll never be able to thank you all enough for what you’ve done for me. Every single one of you who came out to each show made it all an unforgettable experience. Let’s do it all again sometime. Love you.” After this, thousands of fans flooded his comment section, many expressing how much they were already missing him.
However, in happier news, the last line of his post was enough confirmation that he will be back soon to treat the world with an all-new album and tour!
