Directed and written by Sujeeth, OG marks Pawan Kalyan’s return to the silver screen in a major role since his 2022 movie Bheemla Nayak. His last appearance was a cameo in last year’s commercial failure Bro where he shared screen space with his real-life nephew Sai Dharam Tej for the first time.
A preview of the grim and dark crime tale set against the backdrop of Mumbai was previously unveiled a few months back. For ardent fans of Pawan Kalyan, the film promises to be an unforgettable action drama. Referred to as the ‘original gangster’ on the streets of Mumbai, OG is portrayed as a legendary figure among the underworld’s denizens.
According to the teaser, OG went on a murderous rampage approximately 17 years ago, leaving a trail of bloodshed on Mumbai’s streets before disappearing without a trace. In the underworld of Mumbai, his story has become almost mythical, with a chilling voiceover stating, “No storm can wash away the blood strains of men he slaughtered." The return of OG to Mumbai is expected to send shivers down the spines of other gangsters.
In OG, Pawan Kalyan portrays a katana-wielding gangster and the king of the shadow government. The movie also marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in Telugu cinema as he plays an antagonist in the film.
Amid the excitement surrounding the release date announcement and the intriguing glimpses provided by the teaser, anticipation for OG continues to soar among fans of Pawan Kalyan and Cinephiles alike.
