On Father's Day, Prateik Babbar shared the most memorable advice that Raj Babbar gave to him.

As Father’s Day approaches, actor Prateik Patil Babbar reflects on the cherished memories and valuable life lessons imparted by his father, the renowned actor Raj Babbar. In a recent interview, Prateik shared his thoughts on the significance of this day and the unique ways they celebrate it.

“The most memorable piece of advice my father gave me was, ‘There are no shortcuts to success. Be humble, keep your head down, and keep working towards your dreams,'” Prateik recalls. This profound advice has shaped his approach to both his personal and professional life, instilling a deep sense of humility and perseverance.

Prateik also shared a lighthearted plan for this year’s celebration. “I’m going to show up wherever he is, unannounced, and surprise him with hugs and kisses,” he revealed. This spontaneous and affectionate gesture highlights the close bond they share.

One of the most endearing traditions in the Babbar household is Raj Babbar’s playful teasing on Father’s Day. “My father always teases the men in the house on every Father’s Day, calling all of us his fathers,” Prateik explained. “He wishes myself, Aarya, Anup Ji, and even my 12-year-old nephew Imaann a happy Father’s Day, saying, ‘Wishing all my fathers a very happy Father’s Day.'”

The actor recently shared details about some tough times he faced in his life. This included being sent to a rehab facility at 18, going through a divorce with his ex-wife Sanya Sagar, and ultimately finding love with Priya Banerjee. He also spoke about the disappointment of missing out on opportunities like the movie ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, where he was initially chosen for a role.

In an interview with Times of India, Prateik mentioned that his family had deceived him by sending him to rehab at 18 due to his constant intoxication, which made communication challenging. He described feeling lost and on the brink of suicide during his time there. Prateik later had a relapse when he perceived unfair treatment in the industry. Frustrated by his films being delayed or canceled, he turned back to alcohol and drugs at the age of 25.

Prateik Babbar also reflected on his past romance with Amy Jackson, acknowledging that it had a profound impact on him. Despite this, he expressed that the most significant blow came from the opportunities he let slip by, such as the chance to join the cast of the acclaimed film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.’
