Preity Zinta Says SRK Engages With 'Unattractive' Women: 'I Don't Have To Turn It Into Physicality'

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has worked with Shah Rukh Khan since the early days of her career, collaborating on hit films such as Dil Se, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Veer Zaara. The duo has also travelled globally for stage shows. Preity has often spoken about her fondness for Shah Rukh Khan too. Recently, an interview of hers with the Badshah of Bollywood has gained traction on Reddit where she talks about Shah Rukh Khan’s tendency to engage with “unattractive” women during their stage shows. Shah Rukh Khan’s witty response to what Preity said went viral in no time.

Preity says, “Humare tour mein bhi jab bhi aap kisi lady ko bulate the for an interaction, I used to always wonder ki why Shah Rukh calls the most unattractive woman.” Shah Rukh Khan cuts in and says that he finds them beautiful. He goes on to say, “I find them very beautiful! I find women beautiful! I want my whole life to be surrounded by women. I think they are conscious, they are gentle, they are soft, they are pretty, they smell good, they sound good, they feel good, they are lovely! I like women very, very much. And I don’t hide this at all. But my love is not that I have to turn it into a physicality, or into a relationship. Stay as you are, I love you. And I will tell you and I do.”

Preity’s comment didn’t go down well with netizens. In a Reddit thread, one user wrote, “Preity was petty here. He used to call fans who are eager to meet him, I don’t think the beauty parameter would have ever crossed in his mind on those moments! Those girls/ladies loved SRK and he just fulfilled their wish.” Another comment read, “Most unattractive women??? Who gave her the power to decide who is attractive and who is not.”

During an AMA session on X, when asked about doing a film with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity replied, “When we get a mind-blowing script together that only he and I can do. Till then gotta wait.” Answering another question, Preity, who worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Mani Ratnam’s Dil se, wrote, “Srk is a powerhouse of talent and one of the most generous & fun actors to work with. He always keeps his co-star on their toes & is very entertaining & competitive. I learned a lot from him in Dil Se.”
