Rajiv Thakur Reacts On Getting Less Screen Time On The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 1
While the first season of the show was a superhit, there had reportedly been complaints among Rajiv Thakur’s fans regarding his less screen time on the show.

The Great Indian Kapil Show has been a turning point not only for its primary host Kapil Sharma but also the talented supporting comedians such as Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Rajiv Thakur. Rajiv is known for his character as Raju on the show. While the first season of the show was a superhit, there reportedly had been complaints among his fans regarding his less screen time on the show. Ahead of the premiere of season 2, Rajiv Thakur positively addressed these complaints and shared his opinion on the same.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Rajiv Thakur reacted to viewers’ concerns about his limited screen time in the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. He jokingly stated, “I would like to tell the streaming channel listen sun lijiye ye complaint hain.. compliment nahi ke aap mujhe kum use kar rahe ho…jokes apart jabse iss baar hum ne ye season shuru kiya hai.. humne jitne bhi episodes shoot kiye hain, usmein toh ye complaint door hogayi hai, ye kum dikhne waale… (I would like to tell the streaming channel, listen, this is a complaint, not a compliment, that you’re giving me less screen time… jokes aside, ever since we started this season, with all the episodes we’ve shot so far, this complaint of me being shown less has been resolved).”

He further added that when working on a new project or something new, everyone is in an experimental mode at first. “I know main kitne dhurundharon ke beech mein kaam kar raha hoon, ye sabhi dhurandhar hai aur inke beech mein jagah bananne ke liye aap ko kuch efforts karna padega. Woh I am trying, woh jagah ban rahi hai, slowly steadily, it is happening (I know I’m working among highly talented individuals, all of whom are brilliant in their own right. To carve out a space among them, I have to put in some extra effort. I’m trying, and slowly but surely, I’m finding my place. It’s happening gradually),” Rajiv said, explaining why he had less screen time in the previous season.

The Great Indian Kapil Show returns with its second season on September 21. The inaugural episode of the show will feature Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Vedang Raina, who will appear to promote their film Jigra.
