Rajkummar Rao is currently enjoying the success of his latest horror-comedy, Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. As the film continues to captivate audiences in theatres, Rajkummar Rao shared an interesting glimpse from a scene that did not make it to the final cut. In fact, the actor claimed that this deleted sequence was one of his favourite parts of the film.
Rajkummar Rao shared a series of pictures on Instagram where he can be seen dressed as a woman. He is sporting a red top, sparkly shrug, and heels. In another photo, he was posing with filmmaker Amar Kaushik wearing the same outfit. Along with the pictures, he wrote, “One of my favourite scenes from the film which didn’t make it to the Final Cut. Kya aap log dekhna chahte hain ye scene film mein? Aap sab batao? (Do you all want to see this scene in the film)”

While his fans were excited to know more about this scene, many of his colleagues in the industry also shared their excitement. Shraddha Kapoor, who co-starred Rajkummar Rao in the film, wrote, “Yes!! Vicky please daal do do do do lo lo lo lo.”
Nimrit Kaur jokingly commented, “Bikky Pleeeeeej,” while Bhumi Pednekar said, “Have to watch this-NOW.” Tripti Dimri commented, “Hahahah Killing it.” Farah Khan joked saying, “I want to see u like this for our next dinner at my house.” Even Guneet Monga stated, “Yess!! Will pay to watch this.”
Speaking about the success of the film, Rajkummar Rao said, “We were sure that the film would get a lot of love because of the love that Stree 1 got. There’s a big fan-following for Stree. But these numbers are way above our expectations. We are very glad and super elated. There’s a lot of gratitude that this is happening with a film like Stree, because it is a very content-driven film.”
Stree 2 which has crossed 500 crores at the box office is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree, picking up where the first section left off. While Stree focused on a female spirit who was wronged in her mortal life, its sequel centres on Sarkata, a headless villain. Stree 2 follows Sarkata’s abduction of women with an independent voice.
