Recently, Rashmika Mandanna made headlines when she confirmed she signed Salman Khan starrer Sikander. This is a big break for Rashmika as it marks her first film with one of the Khans in Bollywood. This also marks her fourth Bollywood film. The film will be directed by A.R. Murugadoss and release next Eid. The news was confirmed by the production house and by Rashmika Mandanna herself. She took to her Instagram Stories and wrote, “You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is. Surprise!! I’m truly grateful and honoured to be a part of Sikandar.”

A source told Pinkvilla that Rashmika has a pivotal role in the film. They added that the actress’s role has been ‘well-written and authored-back.’ The grapevine also said that the makers were on a lookout for a fresh pairing and that’s when Rashmika was considered. “Sajid Nadiadwala was on the lookout for a fresh pairing as the script demands that at the writing level. He narrated the subject to Rashmika and the actress was excited by not just her part, but also the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala to mount the film,” a source said.

The actress will next be seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film will feature Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil in prominent roles. Recently, the actress spoke about the film and gave some insight into her character in the sequel.
