It also marks her fourth Bollywood project. AR Murugadoss will direct this project and will be released next Eid. The news was confirmed by the production house and by Rashmika Mandanna herself. She wrote on her Instagram Stories, “You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is. Surprise!! I’m truly grateful and honoured to be a part of Sikandar.”

Besides Rashmika, Sikandar boasts an ensemble cast starring Trisha Krishnan, Sonakshi Sinha, Govinda and others. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has backed this project.

According to Pinkvilla, Rashmika has a key role in the film. The report added that the actress’s role has been ‘well-written and authored-back.’ The report also mentioned that the makers were on the lookout for a fresh pairing and that’s when Rashmika was considered. As per the report, producer Sajid Nadiadwala was searching for a fresh pairing as the script demands that at the writing level. He narrated the subject to Rashmika and the actress was intrigued by her part. She was also excited by the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala to mount the film.
