Sunny Leone has recently returned to Mumbai after shooting the 13th season of Splitsvilla in Kerala. The actress was in Poovar Island while shooting for the reality show with co-host Rannvijay Singha. Her husband Daniel Weber and her kids had also accompanied her for the shoot, which became a pleasant experience thanks to the pleasant weather and lovely location. The actress and the whole crew were living in a bio bubble while shooting for the show. Now that she is back in Mumbai, Sunny is back to living a cautious life with masks, etc.
“I’m so happy to be home, but sad to be out of that bio bubble. It was really nice over the past month not to have to wear a mask and feel unsafe. MTV, Viacom and Coloseum (production house) did a great job of creating this bio bubble for us. And it was so nice to be able to hug our friends and do high fives and hugs and kisses and just be in close proximity of somebody else," she says.
Back in Mumbai, it is way more difficult to stay safe from the virus, but Sunny believes it can be done if people make an effort together. “Because we have people either in and out or we go to our office, it just makes it difficult. But I do believe in the mask, I do believe that a mask can go a long way and you will be able to protect yourself. And you know, bio bubble is the perfect example of how people can create any environment that we would all like to be in, which is a safe one. So it’s just a matter of all everybody having the same collective thinking, but it’s difficult," she explains.
Sunny has been posting regular updates from her stay in Kerala. She also tried on the local traditional outfits, alongwith her family. Sunny wore a kasavu saree while her husband posed in a mundu. “The GM of the resort had brought in clothes for the children, and Daniel and me, which was very sweet. They made my trip to Kerala absolutely amazing. The place was beautiful, big, spacious, everything we could do in one location, except for the beach, which was right across the water. So it was it was really, really nice to be there," she shares.
The actress and host is raising three children with Daniel, twin boys Asher and Noah and adopted daughter Nisha. Having them around while shooting meant juggling between hectic schedules and motherhood. “Sometimes the hours can be so crazy and annoying. Things go wrong or delays happen, but at the end of the day we all come back with just the most amazing experiences together. On a set like Splitsvilla, it’s not a regular 12-hour day, you’re not shooting start to finish. It’s broken up throughout the day. So a lot of shoot, timing and scheduling was when my children were sleeping in the afternoon. Our dumping sessions or evening challenges, would happen after they were sleeping. So it was such an amazing time with family and to be able to work alongside," she says.
