Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a new post on the occasion of Navratri. The actress, who has been subjected to wild claims about her marriage and divorce from Naga Chaitanya, took her Instagram Stories and shared that she’s praying for ‘sufferings and sorrows’ to go away.
The post, which is a picture, featured the symbol of Goddess Durga with the message, “May the Goddess Durga remove all your sufferings and sorrows. Wishing you a Happy Navratri.”
The actress also revealed she rang in the festival at the Isha Foundation. The actress shared the photo with and called it, “Home away from home.” Check out the posts below:
Samantha’s new posts comes hours after she addressed Telangana Congress leader Konda Surekha’s claims about her divorce. Samantha separated from Naga Chaitanya in 2021. Although the former couple remained tight-lipped about the reason of their separation, Surekha claimed that KTR caused a rift between Chaitanya and Samantha.
Konda Surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao demanded that Samantha be sent to him in exchange for sparing Nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre from demolition. According to Surekha, when Samantha refused, it led to her separation from Naga Chaitanya. “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce,” Surekha was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald.
The N-Convention Centre, owned by Nagarjuna, was partially demolished on August 24, 2024, by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) for encroaching on lake buffer zones. Nagarjuna had obtained a stay order from the High Court later that day.
Samantha addressed the shocking claim in the note she shared on Wednesday night. She wrote, “Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”
“My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it. Our choice to keep things private doesn’t invite misrepresentation. To clarify: my divorce was mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved. Could you please keep my name out of political battles? I have always remained non-political and wish to continue doing so,” she added.
While Samantha has maintained a distance from the claims thereafter, Nagarjuna has confirmed he will be taking legal action against Surekha over her claims.
