The Buckingham Murders Box Office Day 1: Kareena Kapoor, Hansal Mehta's Film Earns Rs 1.15 Cr On Opening Day

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders was released in theatres on Friday, September 13. The Hansal Mehta directorial venture follows a grieving detective, who investigates a murder that reminds her of her own haunting past. Kapoor and Mehta’s film has opened to Rs 1.15 crore reportedly.

As per Sacnilk.com, the film has earned Rs 1.15 crore on its first day. The tracker had previously given early estimates numbers, which painted a bleak picture for the film. However, this is a significant increase from the early estimate of Rs 37 lakh nett.

As per the tracker, The film had an overall occupancy of 6.93% on its opening day. Of its total 1300 shows across the country, the highest were in the NCR region – 366. Mumbai had 237 shows, followed by 213 in Ahmedabad and 72 in Lucknow. Night shows were the most popular among the audiences.
