Los Angeles: Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg feels there is enormous pressure on J J Abrams with the
upcoming 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. Spielberg, in a 60 minute segment, talked about the expectation from Abrams to deliver a mega box office hit with the highly-anticipated installment of the beloved space adventure series.
"Oh J J is terrified," Spielberg told Bill Whitaker. "There's a lot of pressure on J J to start paying Disney back for, you know, the franchise they bought from from George Lucas."
Disney brought the Star Wars franchise from Lucas in 2012 for USD 4 billion dollars. Abrams has also talked about the pressure of rebooting a well-known franchise like this. "You just know that there will be people, no matter what you do, that will have issues with some aspect. You just know there is some number that is being thrown out there that will not be hit. You just know," he told 60 Minutes.
'Star Wars' is slated to hit the Indian screens on December 25, a week after its US release.
