Bollywood has given us many talented stars. Their popularity should be accredited to their talent, skill and the hard work they continue to do for years. Most of these stars are remembered with respect and love, even after their death. One such star was a dashing villain. Such was his charm that millions of girls were crazy for him and wanted to marry him. His legacy could not be forwarded by his son though. We are talking about Feroz Khan and Fardeen Khan – the father-son duo whose career journey as actors were in contrast with each other. While late actor Feroz proved to fit in every role – from chocolate hero to dreaded villain, Fardeen Khan hardly had any hits; later, he quit the entertainment industry. Fardeen Khan is now planning a comeback.
Feroz Khan, throughout his career, worked in more than 60 films. Born in 1939 in Bangalore, Feroz’s father Sadiq Ali Khan Tanoli was an Afghan Tanoli from Ghazni, Afghanistan. He had six siblings including four brothers and two sisters. The actor, apart from his professional life, also made headlines for his personal life.
Feroz Khan started his film career in the 60s and left an indelible mark with his powerful roles in many superhit films. His undeniable talent was impactful to a level that people have not been able to forget even today. Besides acting, he also indulged in some royal hobbies. Ever since he was young, he started hunting. He hunted 14 tigers before his debut in the entertainment industry.
Speaking of his acting career, he played many memorable characters in a career spanning over five decades. He even attempted to direct films. Besides, he also became a part of many films as a producer. His last film was Anees Bazmee’s comedy Welcome, which was released in 2007. His character of RDX in the film earned huge popularity among the masses and was showered with monstrous love by the audience.
Coming back to Fardeen Khan, he made his debut in 1998 with the film Prem Aggan, with a dream to make a place for himself in Bollywood like his father. Things didn’t turn out as planned. Unfortunately, Fardeen failed to capitalise on his father’s stardom. As a consequence, he delivered 15 back-to-back flops. Although he started earning fame at the beginning of his career, there was a sudden downfall which he could not rise through. Now, Fardeen Khan is reportedly set to start the second innings of his career.
