Varun Dhawan's Baby John First Look Out: Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor Clearly Loved It

The highly-awaited Atlee film featuring actors Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi has finally got the title. The makers on Monday, 5 February took to social media and shared it along with a short teaser, leaving much to the excitement level among fans. Showing Varun Dhawan in a fiery character, the film has been titled Baby John and it will hit theatres in May 2024. As the teaser plays, Varun Dhawan can be seen ready to single-handedly take on his enemies. However, not much has been revealed about the film in the teaser.

The short clip shows a glimpse of a battlefield, with Varun’s character seated on a throne with guns around it. A few traditional dancers can also be seen around him. “Unveiling the Biggest Action Entertainer #BabyJohn starring #VarunDhawan, #KeerthySuresh & #WamiqaGabbi releasing on 31st May in cinemas!,” Atlee wrote in his caption on Instagram.

Varun Dhawan also shared the teaser on his Instagram, leaving fans going gaga. The title and the teaser received a big thumbs-up from the audience, as did his colleagues from the industry.

Celebrities Praise Baby John teaser

As soon as the teaser came out, many shared the same on their Instagram stories and hailed Varun Dhawan’s powerful look. Actor Arjun Kapoor, while sharing his excitement for Baby John, posted the first look and wrote, “Baby John is here!!! Atlee and VD mass combo can’t wait for this one on the big screen.”

Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who has earlier worked with Varun in Bawaal, also praised the teaser and wrote, “Excuse me Baby John, what have you done to baby Varun Dhawan??”

Filmmaker Karan Johar also seemed very impressed with the teaser, as he too shared the teaser on his Instagram story and wrote, “VD in the house! #babyjohn killing it! Congratulations to Atlee and the entire team! #Kalees”

In the meantime, fans also flooded the comment section with praise for the actor.

About Baby John

Tentatively titled VD18, Baby John will be released globally on May 31, 2024. Besides Varun, Keerthy and Wamiqa, the film also features actors Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in supporting roles. While A Kaleeswaran is the director of the film, Atlee is presenting the film in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios.

For the unversed, Baby John is said to be the official remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil language film Theri, which featured actors like Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson.
