Vijay Deverakonda SLAMS Konda Surekha Over Comments On Samantha: 'Struggling to Express In Decent Language'

The controversy involving Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s allegations about KT Rama Rao and Samantha Ruth Prabhu has sparked a huge storm. The minister’s claim that KT Rama Rao demanded that Samantha be sent to him in exchange for sparing Nagarjuna’s N Convention Center from demolition, and that her refusal led to Samantha’s divorce from Naga Chaitanya, has left the industry in shock. Samantha’s colleagues have rallied to her defense, with many condemning the allegations as baseless and hurtful.

Samantha herself has responded to the claims, refuting them and maintaining her dignity amidst the chaos. Following her statement, her Kushi co-star Vijay Deverakonda has also come forward in her support. Vijay expressed his solidarity with Samantha and took to X (formerly Twitter) to share this thoughts.

“Struggling to express in decent language my thoughts and feelings on what happened, today’s politics, politicians and their behaviour. Just want to remind many politicians out there that we vote for them to look after us, to talk about infrastructure and investment , bring in jobs and prosperity, talk about health and improve education and facilities, help us grow..We cannot allow or be ok with this as people. Politics cannot get any lower. Enough (sic).”

Earlier, responding to the claim, Samantha took to Instagram to issue a strongly-worded statement. “To be a woman, to come out and work, to survive in a glamorous industry where women are more often than not treated as props, to fall in love & to fall out of love, to still stand up and fight… It takes a lot of courage and strength,” she wrote.

Directly addressing Surekha, Samantha added, “Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”
