The grand finale of the 11th season of dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa was nothing short of spectacular. The participants showcased their moves in a grand setting and left the audience mesmerised with their performances. The show concluded on March 2 with Manisha Rani lifting the trophy of the season.
Manisha Rani entered the show as a wild card contestant and quickly won the hearts of the audience and the judging panel with her breathtaking performances. However, her journey to fame was filled with struggles.
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 contestant Manisha Rani hails from a Munger in Bihar. Reportedly, the 26-year-old has always been mischievous, right from her childhood. A few months back, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, she opened up about the struggle period in her life. She revealed that her parents got divorced when she was very young and they began to live separately. Her father did not remarry and a few years later, her mother passed away. Her father took over the responsibility of bringing up Manisha Rani and her siblings.
As per reports, Manisha Rani showed a knack for dancing and wanted to go to Mumbai to pursue her dreams and earn fame. However, due to the financial condition of her home, she could not proceed. After completing her schooling, she decided to move to Kolkata to which her father did not agree. She started living in Kolkata and began waitressing at weddings and events. For Rs 500, she began to work as a background dancer. Manisha also reportedly worked as a waitress during her struggling days.
To earn money, Manisha started participating in dance shows. She travelled from village to village and performed there for Rs 2,000. Reportedly, she risked her life and reputation many times to continue dancing. She kept struggling till 2016 and still did not get any success so she decided to move back home.
By this time, social media stars were gaining fame and Manisha harnessed the opportunity to make a name for herself by making dance videos and uploading them online. She began making and posting videos on the terrace of her house. Finally, her struggle days came to an end when one day she woke up and found out that one of her videos received 1 million views, leaving her shocked. From then on, she started to receive many offers for TV serials and dance shows.
In 2019, she starred in the show Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari. By now her father was also impressed by her dedication to her craft. Later, the dancer got an opportunity to participate in Bigg Boss OTT, which was her shot to fame. Then she was introduced as the wild card entry in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 and gained huge fanfare with her performances.
