Kamya Punjabi has declared her upcoming project - that revolves around the life of her friend Pratyusha Banerjee, who committed suicide in April 2016.
Pratyusha, who passed away on April 1 last year, will now be seen in a short film. Pratyusha had last shot for Hum Kuchh Keh Naa Sakey, about one and half months before she committed suicide.
The film’s release couldn’t follow because of what happened later. However, now Punjabi has decided to pay tribute to Pratyusha.
The film features Pratyusha in the lead role and also draws inspiration from her real life. As far as the film’s subject is concerned, it is based on despair and depression, which were allegedly the key reason why she committed suicide.
Pratyusha Banerjee who rose to fame after portraying the central character, Anandi, in Balika Vadhu committed suicide last year.
