Rakul Preet Singh recently won the hearts of social media users with her endearing gesture towards newbie actor Junaid Khan. The De De Pyaar De actress arrived to attend the Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest 2024 at the Taj Land’s End, Mumbai. In a video circulating online, Rakul was seen stopping midway on the red carpet so as not to disturb Junaid Khan who was getting his picture clicked at the time. As the clip moves forward, we see the Maharaj making way for the actress and the duo greeted each other with a smile.
Rakul looked chic in a blue denim long dress while Junaid wore a casual grey shirt paired with dark grey jeans and brown shoes. The clip instantly gained the attention of social media users prompting several reactions from fans.
On the work front, Rakul was recently seen in the pan-India film Indian 2 alongside South superstar Kamal Haasan and Siddharth. She will be next seen sharing the screen space with actor Ajay Devgn in the film De De Pyaar De 2. Directed by Anshul Sharma and backed by T-series and Luv Ranjan, the film is slated to hit the theatres on May 1, 2025.
Rakul and Ajay have previously worked together in films like De De Pyaar De, Runway 34 and Thank God. Sharing her experience of working with the Singham actor, the actress told Bollywood Hungama, “Ajay sir is, I think, one of the most technically sound people that I have worked with. I got the chance to work with him. He is very sharp, intelligent and relaxed. He’s ok with everything.”
Junaid, on the other hand, made his acting debut with the film Maharaj. Helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films, it also featured celebs like Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. The film premiered on the OTT giant Netflix and garnered positive reviews from fans and critics.
He will be next seen in a yet-to-be-titled romantic drama film opposite actress Khushi Kapoor, who made her debut with the Netflix film The Archies. Directed by Advait Chandan, who is known for his film Laal Singh Chaddha, the untitled project will hit the big screens on February 7, 2025.
