When Esha Deol, Bharat Takhtani First Broke Up In School Due To THIS Reason: 'He Tried To Hold My...'
Esha Deol was surprised when Bharat Takhtani tried to hold her hand in school.

Esha Deol and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, who have been married for 11 years, recently released a statement confirming their amicable separation. They tied the knot in 2012 and are parents to two daughters, Radhya, aged 6 and Miraya, aged 4. However, this is not the first time that the couple have decided to part ways. In an old interview, Esha revealed that they had broken up as teenagers before.

Esha’s sister Ahana had shared earlier that the two had dated around 9th or 10th grade. However, they had parted ways then, only to rekindle their romance nearly a decade later. Talking about their breakup, Esha said in an old interview, “It was a kind of a hide-and-seek case between us.” Bharat mentioned that the breakup was due to a misunderstanding.

Esha said, “Bharat took me for a drive and he tried to hold my hand and I was like ‘How dare you hold my hand?’ and I flipped out, and I lost it and I’m like… After that day, I didn’t take his calls or speak to him or anything. Then many years later, once we got back, finally at the same signal he asked ‘Baby, can I hold your hand now?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah. you can.’” Bharat added that they “were again on fire basically” when they got back together as adults.

Esha Deol is Dharmendra’s daughter from his second marriage with Hema Malini. She also has a sister named Ahana Deol. Before Bollywood’s Dream Girl, Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur. The rumours of Esha and Bharat’s separation were making headlines for a long time now. It all started after the latter skipped his mother-in-law Hema Malini’s birthday bash last year. He was also not seen at Esha’s birthday celebration.

They recently announced their separation in a joint statement. “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected,” their statement issued to Delhi Times read.
