When Sonam Kapoor Said She Won't Follow Priyanka, Deepika's Hollywood Route: 'Don't Want To Go...' | Viral
Sonam Kapoor said she would rather sign with an agency and do films she wants to do.

When Priyanka Chopra ventured into Hollywood, her move was widely discussed among her peers back in Bombay. Soon after, Deepika Padukone also signed a Hollywood film and Bollywood actors were often asked if they wanted to follow suit. Sonam Kapoor expressed her Hollywood ambitions but said that she wouldn’t take the same route as Priyanka and Deepika.

“I love the way Priyanka has carved out a career in America and Deepika is also doing a film there, but I don’t want to go down that same route. I want to sign up with an agency like I did in India and then maybe do films that I want to do. You know, I made that mistake when I was in India. I kind of did whatever came my way in the beginning but you learn from experience and do things you are passionate about.”

In Bollywood I did whatever films came my way in the beginning. Won’t make the same mistake in Hollywood. Will only do Hollywood films that I feel passionate about: Sonam (2016)byu/HardTune272 inBollyBlindsNGossip

Sonam had signed with UTA to represent her in Hollywood. However, the actress has yet to make her Hollywood debut. Watch the video here:

The actress, who was last seen in Blind, has confirmed that she will soon face the camera once again. The shooting will start next year but other details are kept under wraps. Sonam said, “I’m super excited to face the camera again post my pregnancy. I love being an actor and I love living so many interesting characters through my profession. Human beings fascinate me and I love playing varied roles. I’m looking forward to my next.”

“I will return to the sets early next year. Details of this project is currently getting locked so I won’t be able to talk at length till the announcement is made. It’s a big project. That’s all I can say right now,” she added.

Sonam was last seen in the 2023 crime-thriller ‘Blind,’ a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. Directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, the film marked Sonam’s return to the screen after a six-year break following ‘The Zoya Factor.’
