The makers of Zero have released a new song titled Husn Parcham and it has a very ‘90s feel to it. It may remind you of Raja Hindustani’s Uff Kyaa Raat Aayi Hai with Alisha Chinai replaced with Bhoomi Trivedi. Raja Kumari’s rap has been used to add a special character to it and that totally works. In fact, Raja Kumari is the best part of this otherwise ‘regular’ song.
Zero is a Shah Rukh Khan film so the visuals had to be grander than usual. We meet Babita Kumari, a Bollywood star played by Katrina Kaif, performing at a mall near Shah Rukh’s house here he is preparing to get married. But as the fans would love it, by the end of the song, he leaves his house to be at the mall.
Coming back to the song, it’s composed by Ajay-Atul and written by Irshad Kamil. It’s a tactical set up to present the audience with a trendy tune, more like adding all the essential elements of popular filmmaking. Unfortunately, it fails to make the listener groove. Not a memorable number for sure.
Zero is about a vertically challenged person who falls in love with two women, played by Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, in the film. Directed by Anand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu fame, Zero is all set to hit the screens on December 21, 2018.
