Earlier this month, after completing the shoot for Fighter in Italy alongside Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan returned to Mumbai. The duo reportedly shot for a dance sequence, and videos and photos from the shoot quickly became viral on social media. And now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Hrithik Roshan will wrap up shooting for Fighter today with a full-day schedule in Mumbai.
A source close to the development has informed the entertainment portal that Hrithik will be shooting for the last leg of Fighter shoot today at YRF in Mumbai. “Today is the 87th Day of Fighter shoot and through the journey, the team has shot at several real locations and studio setups. The film began in November last year with a 10-day schedule at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam. As a part of prep, Hrithik even spent time with the real-life Air Force Officers. A year later, it’s a patchwork shoot at YRF studios in Mumbai,” shared a source close to the development.
Deepika and Anil have completed their scenes and Hrithik’s final day of shooting is on October 30. The film will be officially wrapped by Siddharth Anand on November 1 and is set to hit the big screen on January. “Being an aerial action thriller, a lot has gone behind the scenes to create a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience. The shoot was tactfully planned in a way that the high-on VFX shots were canned in the early days of the schedule so that proper time can be given to amp up their impact on the cinema screen,” the source further added.
The first look for Fighter was shared on Independence Day this year. The motion poster shows three combat planes flying through the sky as the three main actors, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, approach one by one, dressed in their Air Force uniforms. The film is set to hit the big screen on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day.
