Sonam Kapoor and her businessman-husband Anand Ahuja hosted a grand welcome party for Beckham, which also marked the presence of many A-listed B-town stars. While the post-party pictures are currently doing the rounds on the internet, one special post by Karisma Kapoor has caught our attention. Karisma Kapoor who was present at the welcome bash dropped a picture with Beckham on Instagram containing a hilarious meme reference to one of her films.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Karisma Kapoor re-shared a meme, originally posted by a user on social media. The meme featured two side-by-side representations — one that captured Karisma and David Beckham sharing a warm hug at the party and the other a screenshot of Karisma’s 1999 film Haseena Maan Jayegi. The text on the image presents an imaginary scenario where Beckham and Karisma are having a conversation about sports. The meme humorously connects David Beckham claiming that he plays football and a particular scene from the film.

The text reads, “Beckham: I play football. Karisma: Big Deal. I have played Basketball with Football on a golf course wearing Tennis gear”. Beckham: “Karisma Ka Karishma”. In Haseena Maan Jayegi, there is a scene where Karisma Kapoor is seen playing a basketball game but on the wrong field and wearing a Tennis-appropriate outfit. While the flaw in the movie might have skipped the eyes of the audience back at that time, it has sparked a meme fest today, thanks to social media and its eagle-eyed users. Acknowledging the funny motive behind the post quite graciously, Karisma wrote, “This is hilarious. Best days”.
