The makers of Sriram Raghavan’s film, Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, has announced the trailer date. Not long back, the makers announced that the film, originally set to release on December 8, 2023, has been postponed to January 12 of the following year. The latest update is that the trailer will release on December 20. The video features an animated Rubik’s Cube with the film’s poster.

The release schedule for Merry Christmas has undergone several changes. Initially planned for December 15, where it would have clashed with Dharma Production’s Yodha starring Siddharth Malhotra, both films later rescheduled to December 8. Subsequently, Yodha was shifted from the December slot to March 15, 2024. The latest update is that the trailer will release on December 20. The video features an animated Rubik’s Cube with the film’s poster.

The upcoming film also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, Tinnu Anand, Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, Rajesh Williams, and Pari. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will also be seen in cameos in the film. Merry Christmas is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg.

Katrina recently attended the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah and said that her next film, Merry Christmas, is the most challenging film of her career yet. She said that working with director Sriram Raghavan had been a goal of hers. Katrina also added that her character in the film needed some emotional and artistic investment from her. Katrina also spoke about working with Vijay Sethupathi and said that she found him to be phenomenal and expressed her admiration for watching him switch between Hindi and Tamil languages.

The movie has been filmed in two languages, Hindi and Tamil, with distinct supporting casts. In the Hindi version, the roles are played by Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, whereas the Tamil version features Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in identical roles.
