Shahid Kapoor Says THIS Film Changed His Way of Working, Internet Feels Its Padmaavat

Shahid Kapoor had quite a tumultuous journey in the entertainment industry. With a fair share of blockbusters and flops to his credit, the actor has time and again, impressed everyone with versatile characters and unconventional films. The year 2023 has been another fruitful year for Shahid as his performance in Farzi and Bloody Daddy heaped him praises from the critics and audiences alike. In one of his interviews, Shahid Kapoor reflected upon an important lesson, that he learnt while working on a film. Although, he didn’t take any names but the internet thinks it’s Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat.

A clip of Shahid Kapoor’s interview with Anupama Chopra has gone viral, after it was shared by a user on X(formerly Twitter). In the video, Anupama Chopra asked Shahid, “As an actor, after 20 years, would you say that you’re at that point where it’s all about the narrative? You are no longer fussed about who else is in the frame, no insecurities about who the other hero is, how much mileage am I getting, is all of that done?”

The Farzi actor promptly responded, “One thing I learned, I don’t want to say when I learned it, I learned it on one specific film, very clearly. There are areas you want to delve into. What are the people you want to delve into, not just in terms of their professional accomplishments or their creative potential but how are they as people? It matters a lot to me.”

Explaining his point further, Shahid added, “Like, do I want to spend one year with this energy or vibe or discipline of this person, do I want to align with this, because I will have to deal with it for a year. If it is going to be more negative than positive for me in the long term, because in a year you can get impacted, and that can create a chain reaction within you as a person. We’re all professionals.”

The actor might also star in a film based on a mythological epic. However, an official confirmation is still awaited from the actor and the producers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani.
