Sunny Deol Opens Up On Equations With Shah Rukh Khan As Darr Complets 30 Years: 'All Of Us Have Changed'
Sunny Deol got candid about his equations with Shah Rukh Khan as their film Darr completed 30 years on Sunday.

Sunny Deol delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of his career with Gadar 2. The actor who had a fallout with Shah Rukh Khan after Yash Chopra’s 1993 classic Darr, has recently opened up about his current equations with the actor as Darr completed 30 years on Sunday.

Speaking with the news agency PTI, Sunny Deol shared, “I’m so thankful to him (Shah Rukh). I remember speaking to him and he was in Dubai for the promotions (of Jawan). I thought he wouldn’t come but he came straight from there. He was there for a little while. I didn’t get a chance to meet or speak to him after that (party) but whenever I do it would be beautiful.”

He added, “We as actors have certain things (that happen) over a period of time. When we are younger, we are a bit different, and as time goes by, we start maturing and we start understanding what life is in reality. All of us have changed quite a lot. That’s the beautiful thing about it. Time is a healer of everything.”

During his appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 8, Sunny spilled the beans on his comeback movie Gadar 2, his equation with step sisters Ahana and Esha Deol and what he doesn’t like about his contemporaries.

Sunny said that he “disliked” how SRK has made “actors a commodity.” “He is very hardworking. What I don’t like about him is making the actors a commodity,” Sunny said. Karan exclaimed “Oh god,” upon hearing the Gadar 2 star’s response.

In September, Sunny Deol reflected on his fallout with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Darr (1993). The actor did not speak with SRK for 16 years after he disagreed with the climax of the film. Sunny had revealed in the past that he had a heated discussion with director Yash Chopra about the climax and ripped off his pants in anger. He said his issue with Darr was that the film glorified the villain and he was unaware of it.

However, Sunny pulled the plug on the feud by not only inviting Shah Rukh Khan to the success party of Gadar 2 but also posing with him for the cameras. The actors were seen hugging, thus assuring fans that they moved on from the past and shared a good bond now.
