Selena Gomez who was in attendance with her partner Benny Blanco, made the headlines from the award night. A video circulating online showed the singer having a conversation with her friends Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry. Although, it was speculated that she was gossiping about Hollywood’s new pair Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, a source close to the Single Soon singer rubbished the rumours.

According to the online buzz, when Selena Gomez asked for a photograph with Call Me By Your Name actor Timothee Chalamet, his partner and internet sensation Kylie Jenner denied the request. Judging by the now-viral video, internet sleuths tried to make out what Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Keleigh Sperry were saying to each other. Lip-reading their conversation, some social media users concluded that it could be Selena spilling the beans about Kylie’s alleged denial of her clicking a picture with Timothee.

A source close to Selena Gomez has now reacted to the claims, stating that “she was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie”, cited People. The source added that, unlike the floating rumours, the Rare beauty founder did not even “see or speak to” either Kylie Jenner or Timothee Chalamet.

Although Selena Gomez was nominated for the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Musical or Comedy award for her role in the comedy series Only Murders In A Building, she did not take home the trophy this year. However, she was a winner when it came to matters of the heart. She dropped a picture on her Instagram stories sharing a kiss with Benny Blanco at the backstage of the Golden Globes. “I won,” read her caption.

Later on, Selena Gomez shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram, featuring herself, some candid moments with Meryl Streep and other industry friends, and lovey-dovey snaps with Benny Blanco. She was decked up in a tailored Armani Prive ruby-red silk gown that came with an asymmetrical hem. The halter neckline, distinct cut-outs, and three black crystal-embroidered flowers added to the magic. The last snap showed Benny hugging her from behind and planting a kiss on her cheek, with Selena sporting a beaming smile.
