For the first time, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, set to be played in the USA and West Indies in June 2024, will feature 20 different teams.
Following Uganda’s triumph against Rwanda earlier today, the final list of all 20 teams has been finalized, as Uganda joined the list at the 20th and last team to make the cut.

This time around, the way the tournament functions is going to be a bit different. The 20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. These five teams will face off against each of their group opponents and the top two from each group will make it to the Super Eight stage.
Here again, the Super Eight are set to be divided into two different groups of four. A group stage style competition will ensue yet again, where the top two from both groups will make it to the semi-final of the tournament, followed by the final as per usual.

Up next are the top Eight teams from the 2022 T20 World Cup, who also secure their qualification.

The next 2 teams to be selected are chosen on the basis of their ICC rankings as of 14 Nov, 2022.

Then come the two teams who made their way to the tournament by clinching the top spots in their respective regional qualifiers.
