The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) counselling round 3 registration period will be wrapped up by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) today, September 12. By September 13 on the official website, mcc.nic.in, applicants who have already registered for the NEET PG round 3 counselling 2023 can submit the preferences they have provided.
The registration period for Round 3 officially started on September 8 and ends today, September 12, at 12 PM, in accordance with the timetable. The choice filing runs from September 9 through September 13, till 11:55 p.m. while the choice locking will take place from September 13 at 3 PM until September 13 at 11:55 PM.
There is no means to change the candidates’ choices after they have been submitted and locked. The seat allocation will be conducted between September 1 and September 15, depending on the choices that are indicated.
On September 16, the NEET PG Round 3 counselling result will be made available for all candidates. Soon after the seat allotment is released, candidates must report to the institutions to which they have been assigned between September 18 and September 25.
Institutes will verify enrolled applicants’ data with the data provided by the MCC from September 26 to September 27.
NEET PG counselling 2023 round 3: How to fill choices
Step 1: Go to mcc.nic.in, the MCC’s official website.
Step 2: Log in with your credentials, which include your roll number, password, and stream (medical/dental).
Step 3: Choose medical schools and programmes based on preferences.
Step 4: Click the “+” button to add a new option.
Step 5: Drag any choice to the appropriate place to change the order of the choices.
Step 6: Review the order of your preferences and press “save and next” to lock the available choices.
Step 7: Download the selected and locked preferences for future reference.
After the third round of NEET PG counselling for MD, MS, MDS, and PG medical programmes, the MCC will hold a stray vacancy round to fill any remaining seats. According to the proposed Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2023, the NEET PG 2024 test will be held in March of the following year.
Another change is that, beginning with the current MBBS batch, the National Exit Test (NExT) will replace the NEET PG examination.
