Rishabh Pant has shared a clip of his ongoing recovery from a horrific car accident he was involved in last year. In a post on Pant’s official Instagram account, the wicketkeeper-batter can be seen running on a treadmill.
Despite freely doing the exercise, Pant took the support of a bed to avoid the chances of any additional injury.

Almost 10 months have passed since Pant suffered injuries in a car accident while driving to his hometown Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
He is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, undergoing rehabilitation. “No shortcuts, just pure hustle,” Pant wrote in the caption of the post.

The video garnered significant attention from fans, who wished to see Pant in the Indian jersey in the near future.
David Warner, who shares the Delhi Capitals dressing room with Pant in the Indian Premier League (IPL), also reacted to the post. “Made my day this,” the Australian opener commented.
Pant’s Indian teammate Suryakumar Yadav also marked his presence in the comment section. Kolkata Knight Riders’ player Nitish Rana adropped a lion emoji.
After the mishap in December last year, Pant sustained multiple injuries on his head and legs. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital. The cricketer needed surgery later on.
After getting discharged from the hospital, Pant made his way to the NCA.
In July, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released an update about Pant’s fitness, saying that the 26-year-old had already resumed practice in the nets. The statement read, “Rishabh Pant has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets. He is currently following a fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running.”
At that point in time, Pant also gave insights into his training regime by uploading a video on Instagram. The clip showed Pant running and hopping during a closed-door training session at the NCA.

Due to his unfortunate accident, the Indian cricket team has missed the service of Pant in several important assignments including the World Test Championship (WTC) final, Asia Cup and the ICC ODI World Cup. He also couldn’t feature in the last edition of the IPL either.
