The Aiden Markram-led side managed to notch up just eight points throughout the season and finished behind nine other teams that took part in the previous edition of the cash-rich T20 league.
The Sun Network-owned side opted to let go of English batsman Harry Brook following his underwhelming showing last season and managed to bolster their purse heading into the mini-auction. They also chose to release Brook’s compatriot Adil Rashid and Windies pacer Akeal Hosain ahead of the auction.
The Hyderabad-based team will look to get back to their best heading into the 2024 season of the IPL in order to erase painful memories of ending up with the wooden spoon in the previous campaign.
