India lost the series opener in Hyderabad to hand a shock 0-1 lead to England.
Stung by the defeat, India showed improvement to bounce back and take an unassailable 3-1 lead in Ranchi.
“A great first spell in Test cricket for Akash Deep. Dhruv Jurel was terrific at reading the length in both innings and his footwork was precise. His partnership with Kuldeep Yadav kept us in the game in the 1st innings, and his knock in the 2nd innings helped us sail home. Shubman Gill showed great temperament in curbing his instinct in the chase and scored an important 50,” Tendulkar posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The score is 3-won! ????India once again came back from a pressure situation and fought back to win the match. It shows the character and the mental strength of our players.

Former England captain Pietersen felt that Gill replicated Kohli by shutting down his critiques just like his senior compatriot does.
“They doubted Shubman like they doubted Virat when he was struggling! Do not,” the ex-England cricketer posted.

Gill has been quite impressive in the Test series, scoring a century in the second match before producing another 91-run knock in the third match.
He then anchored India’s chase with an unbeaten half-century on a challenging pitch in the fourth Test.
Kohli, on the other hand, was particularly impressed with the team’s performance given it mainly boasted several young talents.
“Yes! Phenomenal series win by our young team. Showed grit, determination and resilience,” he wrote.

IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals shared a throwback clip of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel, celebrating their performances.
Jaiswal has already scored two double hundreds in the series and has over 600 runs to his name with a Test still remaining.
Whereas, Jurel made 46 runs on debut before a game turning 90 and an unbeaten 39 in the fourth match of the series.
