The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has begun the registration process for 60,244 constable positions starting today, December 27. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website at uppbpb.gov.in. The last date to apply is January 18.
UP police aim to fill the vacancies across various positions such as constable, SI, jail warder, radio operator, clerical cadre, computer operator, and computer programmer. To apply for the position of Sub Inspector, candidates must hold a graduate degree, while constable positions require a minimum educational qualification of 12th pass.

Step 4 – Fill in the form.
Step 5 – Pay the application fees. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 400.

UP Police Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
Selection for the UP police constable posts will be based on physical tests and written examinations, with the first stage being a written exam. The written exam will carry a total of 300 marks and last for one hour. The exam will cover four subjects including General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical Aptitude, and Mental Aptitude, with 150 questions in total. Each question carries two marks and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
In terms of physical tests, male candidates from the General/OBC and SC categories should have a minimum height of 168 cm, while male candidates from the ST category will have a height relaxation of 8 cm, with a minimum height requirement of 160 cm. Chest measurements for General, OBC, and SC male candidates should be a minimum of 79 cm without expansion and at least 84 cm after expansion. SC category candidates receive chest size relaxation, with a minimum requirement of 77 cm without expansion and at least 82 cm after expansion.
For female applicants in the General, OBC, and SC categories, the minimum height requirement is 152 cm, while ST category applicants should have a minimum height of 147 cm. The weight of female candidates should be at least 40 kg. In the physical efficiency test, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8 km race in 25 minutes, while female candidates must complete a 2.4 km race in 14 minutes.
