New Delhi: Trouble seems to be brewing in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) after its poll debacle.
The BJP's largest alliance partner, the JD(U), has for the first time publicly accused it of mishandling the election campaign.
The meeting was attended by JD(U) president and NDA acting-convener Sharad Yadav, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and all senior leaders of the party, including newly-elected party MPs.
Sharad Yadav says the BJP failed to reach out to the farmers, which cost it dearly in the General Elections.
Yadav also says the functioning of the present NDA is not as smooth as it used to be.
The JDU-led Nitish Kumar government had been responsible for an NDA sweep in Bihar. But now the alliance partner is asserting itself over the weakened BJP.
There have also been rumours that the JDU is growing closer to the Congress.
The meeting finalised the economic, political and social agenda of the party for the coming year.
