No end to politics over Dadri, Congress leaders trying to enter village denied permission

Days after Firebrand VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi was denied entry in the village, Congress leaders RPN Singh and Jitin Prasada tried to visit the village where a man was lynched following rumours that he stored beef at his home. The two leaders were stopped while marching from Gautambudh Nagar in Noida to Dadri along with hundreds of Congress workers.

RPN Singh and Jitin Prasada did not have the permission to enter the tense village. "We are being stopped from going to Dadri while those who spread communalism are allowed.bjp and sp colluding," Jitin said.

RPN Singh also said that it is upsetting that Uttar Pradesh government is stopping Congress party to go in. "Congress party has come with a spirit of sadbhavana and we are being stopped. The kind of two-faced politics that the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party is doing in UP is unfortunate," he said.

Prohibitory orders have been imposed by the administration to avoid any untoward incident in the district.

The move comes on a day when unrest was reported in Karhal area of Mainpuri in UP on Friday following rumours of cow slaughter. District Magistrate had said that 21 persons have been arrested in connection with the case so far.
