Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will strongly oppose the Centre's decision to impose wealth tax on farmers owning land within eight-km of urban areas. "The Congress-led UPA government decision will harm the debt ridden peasantry," Badal said.
SAD will oppose any decision which is against the farmers, the Chief Minister said. He called upon the people to tread on the path of spiritualism as it ultimately led them to attain the path of salvation. Addressing the gathering after the inauguration of the physiotherapy centre in Amritsar, Badal said there was lot of mental stress and strain in the present materialistic society due to which people hardly got time to relax.
Path of spiritualism helps from the stressful and monotonous routine, he said.
