Confirmed! Google's LG Nexus 5X, Huawei Nexus 6P to be launched in India on October 13
The Nexus 5X's prices start at Rs 31,900 and Nexus 6P will be available at Rs 39,999 onwards in India.

A lot of speculation has been doing the rounds regarding the India launch dates of the LG-made Nexus 5X and the Huawei-manufactured Nexus 6P. We finally have a series of confirmations about the date when the two phones will be launched in India.

An LG spokesperson has confirmed to IBNLive that Nexus 5X launch will be happening in India on October 13, which was later corroborated by a Google representative.

The Huawei-built Nexus 6P will also officially make its way into India on the same day, confirmed our sources with information on the launch plans.

Flipkart has put up a teaser page for the Nexus 6P on its website.

According to the information available on Google Play Store, Nexus 5X will be priced at Rs 31,900 (for 16 GB variant) and Rs 35,900 (32 GB), while Nexus 6P will be available at Rs 39,999 (32 GB) and Rs 42,999 (64 GB) in India.

Google is expected to introduce the devices, which will come loaded with the latest Android Marshmallow operating system, for online sale in partnership with two e-commerce firms in India.

The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch screen, 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 5MP front camera and a 2,700 mAh battery.

The Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch screen, 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 8MP front camera and a 3,450 mAh battery. Both the devices feature fingerprint sensors and fast charging (with USB Type-C port).

Google has also slashed the price of the Nexus 6 in India to Rs 33,800 (for 32GB), while the 64GB variant would now be available for Rs 37,600.

For Huawei, this partnership with Google to make one of the flagship Nexus smartphones, Chinese tech giant Huawei is gaining new prominence which could help its efforts to win broader global consumer appeal. For LG, the 5X is its third Nexus phone.
