New Delhi: In yet another attempt at bringing out a camera-centric smartphone, iBall has introduced a new Android KitKat-based Andi Avonte 5 that features a rotating camera.
It includes an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash that is 180-degree rotatable and used both as a front shooter and as the main camera.
It isn’t the first time that a smartphone with a rotatable camera has been launched. Earlier last year, Oppo introduced its Oppo N1 smartphone that boasted of a 13MP rotating camera that offered 206-degree rotation and locked at any angle. It was priced at Rs 39,999.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS FWVGA display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor combined with 1GB RAM.
The Andi Avonte 5 comes with 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. The smartphone draws its juice from a 2150mAh battery.
It offers a 3D user interface and supports 21 regional languages with read and write support. It further offers 3G support, dual-SIM capability, and connectivity options of WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB.
The device has been priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available across the country in the coming days.
