Apple has stayed away from the iPhone SE model for a few years but all reports hint at a big upgrade for the SE model expected to launch 2025. Apple has made drastic changes to the design of the premium iPhone models while the SE cousins have borrowed their elements from the older iPhone 8 series till date.
Things are expected to move in a direction and Apple’s focus with the iPhone SE 4 model rumoured to launch next year will confirm those leaks with a higher price tag attached to the product.
Now, another report says the iPhone SE will have a completely new design and also feature the dynamic island notch on the front, just like the iPhone 15 series that launched in 2023. We have seen details about the next iPhone SE model flip to and FRO and people clearly are excited to see if Apple follows up with these changes with the actual product. Going with a dynamic island notch makes a lot of sense, especially if the company plans on using the iPhone 14-like design for the SE moniker.
Previously we have reported that the iPhone SE 4 will have a taller screen, a wide notch like the iPhone 14 model which means you can finally expect to see Face ID tech on the SE model. The company is expected to bring the A15 or even the A16 chip under the hood which will keep it relevant for many years and give you flagship-like performance.
Apple has adopted USB C with the iPhone 15 series last year, which means all the new iPhones launching in 2024 or later will get a USB C port for charging. Many people expect Apple to upgrade the SE to a dual camera system but it is more likely that we might see a single 48MP shooter. These upgrades should easily help Apple jack up the price of the iPhone SE 4 model when it launches sometime next year.
