New Delhi: Lenovo has announced the launch of its new smartphone for the Indian market. Named the Vibe S1, the phone is priced at Rs 15,999, and will be exclusively available on Amazon India from Novermber 24.
Target ted at selfie lovers, the Vibe S1 comes with two cameras at the front. As explained by the company, the 8 megapixel primary front camera takes the sharpest photos and the 2 megapixel secondary front camera analyses depth of field information to replicate human binocular vision.
"These two cameras work in tandem to unleash a myriad of new possibilities that can give selfies a creative twist," says the company.
The camera app is said to be loaded with a number of built-in photo editing tools. "Blur" allows refocusing anywhere on the seflie (up to 3 focal plains) or adding a 'bokeh' effect to the background to stylise a selfie or simply to get rid of a photo bomber.
The Vibe S1 features a 13 megapixel rear camera with a dual-color flash that optimises colour tones based on ambient lighting.
Measuring 5 inches, the phone has a thickness of 7.8 mm and weighs 132 grams.It has a full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 atop for protection against scratches.
Powered by a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, the Lenovo Vibe S has an internal storage of 32 GB - with up to 128GB of microSD external storage support.
The new dual-SIM 4G phone runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system.
Lenovo unveiled the phone back in September at IFA 2015.
