New Delhi: Micromax's subsidiary brand Yu, which had earlier planned the Yutopia smartphone launch in India for December 7, rescheduled the launch plans and sent out revised media invites with a new launch date. The phone, which was earlier scheduled to be unveiled next week, will now be announced on December 17.
Explaining the reason of putting off the launch date, Rahul Sharma, co-founder, Micromax Mobile, in a tweet said, "Hold your excitement, as we plan to announce something special with Yutopia. The most powerful phone now launches on 17th Dec."
According to a company spokesperson, the company has two devices scheduled for December 17. While one of them will be the Yutopia handset, the other device would not be a smartphone.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Yutopia phone will include 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The phone is claimed to come with quick-charging capabilities; it is expected to feature a QHD display and a full metal body.
