Unlike apps that block all ads like Crystal or Peace, Focus, as the name suggests, allows users more control over what they want to block when on the internet.
Mozilla has launched Focus, a new iPhone ad blocker expected to hit the App Store on Tuesday.
Unlike apps that block all ads like Crystal or Peace, Focus, as the name suggests, allows users more control over what they want to block when on the internet.
According to a Forbes report, the app will offer a range of categories and settings for identifying the types of content a user wishes to block, from classic ads to analytics and social network tracking.
In addition, users can limit malware and the loading of heavier content such as fonts for faster web surfing.
Because of Apple's content-blocking API, Focus will only work with Safari until Apple opens up the system in the weeks ahead, allowing users to use the app with Firefox.
