New Delhi: Refocusing on its mid-range device strategy, Sony rolled out its latest Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone that packs the most popular features like the camera capacity, battery backup, and water resistant quality at a fair price.

Unveiled at the ongoing Barcelona event, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera is powered by Sony's Exmor RS mobile sensor with a large F2.0 aperture, and ISO 3200 sensitivity, while the front camera offers a wide-angle lens with an 88 degrees field of view.

It features Sony's full suite of preloaded Xperia Camera apps along with the Sound Photo app that lets you add short clips to the pictures and Movie Creator that automatically converts the images into thirty second vignette clips.

Sony's first octa-core 64-bit smartphone, the Xperia M4 Aqua runs on the qualcomm snapdragon 615 processor and features the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

The smartphone has a 5-inch tempered glass display, with the 136g waterproof body reengineered for cap-less microUSB charging. The phone integrates 4G LTE connectivity and a battery that can last for up to two days. Its Battery STAMINA Mode can optimize how your battery is used and Ultra STAMINA Mode will keep the phone running on its core functions for a week.

The phone will come with the new Xperia Lounge Silver that brings apps, software updates, entertainment, offers and tips delivered to the user throughout the product lifecycle.

Xperia M4 Aqua will be available in classic White, Black, fresh Coral, and Silver3. It will launch in 80 countries worldwide, across more than 100 carrier partners for around 299 euros, from Spring 2015.
