New Delhi: Today is May 1 and Google has a doodle on its home pages in many countries around the world to mark Labour Day. Then all of a sudden, without any apparent reason, the doodle disappeared from Google homepages across the world including India (except in France where there's a variant of the same doodle).
Then as inexplicably as it disappeared, the Labour Day doodle made a comeback after a gap of over 30 minutes.
The doodle was visible on the India homepage till 10 AM but had disappeared when we checked at 10.14 AM, before returning at around 10.40 AM.
While there is no word from Google as to what went wrong with the doodle, we guess it was because of a tech glitch.
Marking the International Labour Day, the Google logo features a G clamp, a pair of gloves, rolls of insulating tape, a wrench and a measuring tape along with a few stray screws.
