KBC 15 Host Amitabh Bachchan Says He Wants To Be A Marriage Counselor On The Show; Here's Why

Kaun Banega Crorepati is one of the oldest game shows in India that still manages to keep viewers glued to their TV screens. The makers have already introduced audiences to the 15th season of the general knowledge-based money-making show. The format remains quite simple, every week new contestants join the hot seat opposite host Amitabh Bachchan after winning the Fastest Finger First round. One of the latest contestants to clear the entry-level question was Rachana Rastogi, a homemaker from New Delhi. Besides winning money, the woman stole the limelight after constantly complaining about her marital problems to Big B.

It so happens that Rachana accuses her husband of being a cheapskate, who never takes her out. Upon listening to her, Amitabh Bachchan jokingly asked the channel to change his designation of the host to a marriage counselor. “People working at the channel, do change my designation from anchor to a marriage counselor. This is the only place where everyone can share their marital problems. We will look for a solution for you,” Amitabh Bachchan consoles Rachana.

The host then directs his attention to the contestant’s husband and advises him to start spending money on his wife. The man defends himself revealing he has taken her on a trip to Europe in the past. But Rachana counters that the trip was sponsored by a bank. She continues to highlight that he never splurges money to make her happy. When the picture of the problem becomes evident, Amitabh Bachchan comes up with a romantic solution to resolve the bickering. The host asks the husband to get hold of a greeting card that has ‘I Love You’ written all over it. Big B emphasizes the card must also have a heart with an arrow and a rose.

The Shahenshah of Bollywood asks the man to mention the next day’s date on the card writing, “Hello darling, I want to take you to Europe at my own cost, whatever you want to buy, I will spend for you. Thank you so much, all my love.”

The format of KBC is quite simple, each contestant wins a set amount as they keep answering correct answers until they finally reach the jackpot question. Four lifelines are given to the contestants to help them move up the ladder if they’re unsure of their answers.
