Parth Samthaan, known for his role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has recently opened up about the emotional trauma he experienced following the loss of his father. The actor, who is now preparing for his upcoming film Ghudchadi, shared that he had a deep bond with his father, who passed away before they could have their final conversation. In a heartfelt interview, Parth recounted the distressing moment when he was unable to drive himself to the hospital after his mother informed him of his father’s deteriorating health.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan on his podcast channel, Parth shared, “Someone else drove for me because I could not drive. I was not focused. That was the situation, I thought I would never be in. When my father was operated, it was 3 days since he was operated and I was shooting for Kasautii and my mom did not tell me over those 3 days.”
Parth Samthaan further revealed that his father had asked his mother to call him because he wanted to see his son. This led to his mother reaching out to him, asking him to return home as things were deteriorating. The actor shared his shock and distress at this moment, especially because his mother had not informed him of the gravity of the situation earlier.
Parth also revealed that doctors informed him that only 30 per cent of his father’s brain was responsive to what he spoke, but he was unable to react. Parth found it difficult to accept and hoped that his father might respond to his voice. “Bete ki awaaz sunke aap kuch na kuch react karoge. (Listening to your son’s voice, you will react.),” he recalled. When Parth learned that his father’s condition had worsened, he left the set in a devastated state. Upon reaching the hospital and seeing his father, he desperately wanted to talk to him and wake him up, but he was unable to do so.
During that period, Parth Samthaan had also recently purchased his first house, a milestone that filled his father with pride. Parth wanted his father to see the new home and join in the achievement. Speaking about his last interaction, Parth said, “The conversation I had with him was ghar bhi ho gaya hai, aur kaam, furniture bhi ho gaya hai (The house is done with the furniture). Just waiting for you. So, you wake up and let’s go. That was it.”
On the professional front, Parth Samthaan will appear in the family drama Ghudchadi alongside Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. The film will be released on August 9.
