We commonly see couples supporting each other in their big endeavours and encouraging one another to have faith in their abilities. But the same is not the case for a couple from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, the couple is heading for a divorce for a bizarre reason.
Couples, especially married couples, vow to support each other through thick and thin. However, this couple in Agra has decided to go their separate ways due to the success of the other. Yes, you read it right. The reason behind such an extreme step is that the wife is involved in politics, and getting a bit “too popular” for the husband’s liking.
According to reports, the matter reached the police, who are now trying to counsel the couple. The husband has claimed that his wife is very fond of doing politics, and has installed hoardings and posters across the whole city. Reportedly, he does not like her meeting strangers, so he has filed for a divorce. They have been married for 2 years.
The husband is a resident of the Sikandra area, and the wife is from Thana, New Agra. The couple has a child as well. The wife is very active in politics and social work, and this reportedly does not please the husband at all.
Every Sunday, a family counselling centre is organised at the Agra Police Lines. This unique case is taken up by counsellor Dr Amit Gaud. He revealed that the husband has undergone 3 counselling sessions so far, and a new date has also been fixed. He said that they are trying their best to save this family.
The husband is final on his decision that if his wife does not leave politics, he is not taking her back, whereas the wife wants to pursue a career in politics, and is not ready to leave it.
