Deepinder Goyal’s Zomato recently earned the Guinness World Records (GWR) title after training over 4,000 delivery partners in providing medical aid during roadside emergencies. As soon as Goyal shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude to the “Emergency Heroes of India,” his post sparked a lot of reactions, including a snide comment from comedian Kunal Kamra. Resharing the Zomato CEO’s tweet, Kamra questioned the average income and working hours of the company’s delivery partners.
On Thursday, the Puducherry-based comedian, known for stirring controversies with his remarks and troublesome posts, took a dig at Deepinder Goyal. Expressing dissatisfaction towards the working conditions and remuneration at Zomato, he also mocked the Zomato chief for being unaware of the delivery partners’ welfare but remaining completely informed about the orders.
“Can you declare the no of delivery partners you have with their average income & working hours over the last 3 months? No you can’t But you can tell kgs of biryani ordered in one day. You’re such a hack bro,” he wrote.

While the original post garnered a lot of appreciation on the social media platform, Kamra’s tweet also sparked a discussion. A user wrote, “These platforms treat Delivery partners like machines Caring on social media is just a drama,” while another commented, “Nice try, but transparency about delivery partners’ conditions matters too. People care about their well-being.”
“You have asked a more relevant question,” one of the comments read.
